A+E

To think, A&E used to make quality programming like this at one time. I don't remember the last time I purposely tuned to this channel. Now it is almost all reality shows. Sadly, the History channel is slowly becoming a clone of A&E.

Quite a few formerly wonderful channels turned into garbage.

AMC used to be a place to see great classic movies without interruptions, and with wonderful commentary by Bob Dorian. They produced the great series Remember Wenn. Now it's just another commercial wasteland flooded with advertising and producing infantile garbage about imaginary monsters (yes, they have been bringing a very few good things like Mad Men and Breaking Bad, but I fear these are coming to an end).

Bravo turned into pure garbage overnight.

Discovery and History used to be great before they went in whole hog for a bunch of childish pseudo-science and outright fantasy.

SciFi used to bring some pretty good science fiction before they went insane, botched up the spelling of their name, and brought a succession of Grade Z horror movies that would be an embarrassment to teenage film students on a shoestring budget.

Couldn't agree more, FNJ. I think I'm about ready to get rid of my cable TV, and just get a good VPN so I can watch the BBC iPlayer.

True. Longitude and the Horatio Hornblower set of mini-series were some of my favourite. Too bad A&E moved away from that.
