I had no idea it was so rare, big part of my childhood and great score!

I had a copy of this film on Betamax in the early 80's, probably from one of the first repeats. I loved it as a child and as well as being a great little sci-fi film considering it's limited budget it is a fantastic slice of nostalgia and very much of it's time with the 70's screaming all over it.

I had no idea it was so rare and that so few people had actually seen it up until it was re-discovered. I was born in 1977 so the film is as old as me and has a strong place in my own personal history.

I managed to track down a torrent of the film a while ago and it's still as great a film as I remember.

The score to the film was a really interesting electronic collection of pieces which made the film memorably retro and I was wondering if it had ever been released on......I suppose vinyl or tape back in those days?

There were some great dark sci-fi pieces made for children back in the late 70's and 80's. The Glitterball, Children Of The Dogstar, The Gemini Factor and many others.

They really don't make 'em like this anymore!

Hello BrickNash.

This is a longshot but don't suppose you still have a copy of this do you, the torrent you found for it has long gone as far as I can tell?

Cheers. fibonazi.

Hi fibonazi,

This reply is a longshot too...
If you happen to live in the UK, and have access to certain SKY packages or live in the right Freeview regions, there is a channel called Talking Pictures TV that is showing Glitterball on 22nd November, at both 6 am and 11.35 am.
Hope this is helpful!

I saw it was on Talking Pictures and recorded it. I am actually watching right now as I read your posts how bizarre is that.
