Ben Foster as basketball star. Not buying it.

Terrible casting.

You need to watch more college and high school basketball. It's not always height, but also speed, hands, etc. Valparaiso College made it almost all the way to the Final Four back in 98 with an impossibly short center, who could move faster than any player on the court. The guys with the height couldn't keep up with him.

When did I write anything about height? Ben Foster is badly cast for the role. I don't buy him as a basketball star. He should have been the towel bitch.

Ben Foster looked like a typical clean-cut, slim high school basketball player in this movie. He also performs a lay-up in one scene that I thought looked convincing.
