So where was Carlton Leach? This story was very similar to Rise of the Footsolider - that featured all of the above (Carlton Leach Biog), so why no mention here.....and why so much focus on Pat Tate?
Because Carlton didn't play a major role in the dealings which this film primarily focuses on.

essex boys and rise of the foot soldier are both based on the the same story essex boys is loosly based on the rettendon range rover murders 7th of december 1995 in essex the one main difference between essex boys and the rise of the footsoldier is rise of the foot soldier stays true enough to the story of what happened leading to the murders but dont get me wrong essex boys is a great film but it somones take of what happened one key points for instance the three main charectors in essex boys have diffrent names to the real three that died and there is no mention of carlton leach in essex boys but he was a key charector in the story of pat tate anthony tucker craig rolfe the three murdered in the range rover that cold december night watch rise of the footsoldier if you want to see what happened leading to that night in rettendon but if you want to see somones take of what happened watch essex boys to me both films are great but i think rise of the foot soldier is a better told story of what happened and why
shareI think reading the book essex boys is much more believable than either film, if you read Carltons book muscle (which ROTF is based on) you get a much better picture. I think Carlton was good mates with tucker but didn't work with him much. The RR murders were made a lot more significant in the film to finish it off with a climax.

You mean Darren Nicholls ? Gareth Milne is playing Chippy but isn't Billy Reynolds played by Charlie Creed-Miles also supposed to be based on Darren Nicholls ?
