I don't understand imdb, why the bad reviews

Can I just read imdb as the opposite of how I think.

Why is this movie rated so bad and all the other American Hollywood crap rated so highly.

I liked the film. It had story, acting, no CGI or other crap. It was just solid story and character.

I thought the ending could have been done better. And I didn't expect the villian to be...that person.

Other than that, it was good.
