CUT ON LIP MOVED???

After Bobby gets beaten with a pan, he has a cut on his lip which is on one side of his lip but later on in other scenes (bath scene onwards) it moves to the other side of his lip! A sliding lip cut! How can they make an obvious mistake like this? I mean is the makeup artist an idiot?
