Madame La was the least sympathetic character I can remember

Madame La was the least sympathetic character I've encountered from a movie view perspective in a while. I enjoyed the movie. I was sympathetic towards Neel, but could not stand Madame La. My lack of sympathy was reinforced when she wanted the ship that brought "The Widow" to port to break up and Neel said what about the sailors and she thought he was being too nice.
