Martel has 2 'Super Bowl' rings.

But Washington hasn't been to the playoffs in 7 years... Did he get traded to another team after winning two rings with his first and the subsequent team (Washington) was awful for SEVEN YEARS?

That seems unlikely for a quarterback, Kurt Warner was in a similar situation for a while but still...wow.

Itchy. Tasty. TOASTEEEEE!

Also... this isn't the NFL, but rather a completely fictional league. Presumably the championship game would be called something else.

he also says he's all pro.

I'm inclined to think he had recently joined the team, he's deemed the best quarterback in the league, hard to be that good and never make the playoffs.

I got the impression he'd been traded at some point, but was definitely on the down-hill slide. He's obviously a bit old for a quarterback, and both McGinty and the owner thought he was kind of a whimp. I'd say he was well on his way to being a has been.

Here's to the health of Cardinal Puff.

Denver hasn't won the Super Bowl since 1998. There was a six year stretch from 2005 until 2011 (with Tebow no less, a QB no NFL team wants now) without a playoff appearance. But now that Peyton Manning is here in Denver, the Broncos have not only been making the playoffs but expected to play in the 2014 Super Bowl.

I'm pretty sure Martel was the same way. Got his Super Bowl rings for a different team and was traded to the Sentinels.
