You don't have to call a timeout after recovering an onside kick


The clock stops when possession is regained regardless.

Biggest plot hole of the entire movie right there.

Naw when he called a timeout after the holding penalty on the second to final play..he didn't need to do that either

Or the fact that you can't advance the ball like that was what did it for me. Unless pro rules were different in 1987.

Just about all of the football is choreographed to help the emotional drama. None of it even begins to represent reality. It was a fun movie, but pure fantasy.
