Did they make a CD copy of Halloween Tree?

The Halloween tree was released twice on VHS tape. It's first release came with a bonus Yogi Bear cartoon and a thin paper back version of the book by Ray Bradbury. The rerelease had the Cartoon Network logo at the top.

I don't know why it's never beenr released to DVD. People just don't seem to care about Halloween anymore. At least Nightmare before Christmas is returning to theatres in a new 3D format. I loved this film.

hmm..I just thought of this. Just imagine how great a new version of Halloween Tree would be, remade with stop-motion like the Nightmare before Christmas.

Anyway I don't think its because people don't care about Halloween.. just that the animation in this movie is a little dated compared to animation in newer movies. Not that the animation is bad.. I love the art personally.

But that might be the reason it hasn't been transferred to DVD yet. (even though I do have a "collector's" DVD myself :)

I love cell aniation and stop motion. Tim Burton would be great at readapting this, perhaps for the big screen.

Where did you get your DVD?

reply

No. No. No. No more remakes. I like this movie the way it is without Tim Burton putting his scissorhands all over it. I think it should be re-released, but there's no necessity in remaking it.
