Am I the only person around that thinks Beyonce Knowles is the worst actress in the world at this point. When I first saw Goldmember (which tooh years off my life because it was so horrible) i cringed when ever she opened her pie hole. She has absoutly no acting ability or stage presence. She is the poster child for what is wrong with the movie and music business.

I totally agree with you. She is a beautiful singer, but she has to take some acting lessone. God's gives you one gift, don't try and create another one, because you think you can.

You are one of only ones probably. Beyonce is a very talent, beautiful person. Her music is her life. I thought she was wonderful in the movie, she will grow when she gets other roles. I don't think you can sit here and say she's the worst actress there ever was because she works very hard to be where she is, and she's very awesome in it!

I don't think we should have to sit through these movies waiting for them to improve. If they want to act, go to class for it. Don't rely on "star power" to get you talents you don't posess. That's my theory.
Some people rely on "star power" and that's their choice. It all comes to money. I mean it's the celebrity's business and you don't have to sit through it if you don't want to. It's a free country and Americans can purchase any movie they choose.

I agree with all the above comments in some ways. Beyonce is an extremely talented human being. And to the ones that think she's a crappy actress - at least give her the credit for giving it a try.

shareActually, 95% of the reviews I read on "The Fighting Temptations" said that Beyonce was the highlight of the film and after watching it myself, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I thought she acted very well, probably better than Cuba and that's something. She is far from the worst actress in the world and she is just getting better and better. I look forward to seeing her become a more confident actress with more challenging roles.

shareAfter reading most of posts on this subject I noticed that almost everyone has said she is a great singer. I agree. But did it occur to you that about 80% of the time during this movie Beyonce was singing. hmmm just something to think about.
shareI thought Beyonce had fit the role like the final piece of a jigsaw puzzle. This movie accentuated her strength, vis-a-vis her singing. My biggest fear was the movie was going to center around her singing voice. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I realized that the director realized that it was movie first, music second. Beyonce seemed very comfortable with that. I think in time Beyonce will get better and then we'll really see her shine.
And for those who doubt me, think about this. She's already a better actress than Britney Spears or Mariah Carey, right?
