Did the horse die? (Spoiler)

When Mohammad and the horse fall off the wooden bridge, I assume the horse dies. I couldn't watch it struggling and I turned my head. Thank you.

I don't think it is shown. My guess is it doesn't, it crawls out. That would fit.
