depending on the sales for tomb raider anniversary and if it is a success, will eidos interactive and crystal dynamics remake tomb raider 2 as well and use the game engine from tomb raider legend? i do remember hearing that tomb raider 2 was eventually going to be remade, and hopefull it does.

shareI'd love a Tomb Raider 2 remake - I don't see it happening though, as there's only one reason why Tomb Raider Anniversary was made, and I think a lot of people didn't catch on to it because it's subtle.
I know it was an anniversary year for Tomb Raider 1 when the game came out, but realistically the reason why they made it is because they intended to have Natla be in Tomb Raider Underworld, and many of todays young gamers wouldn't have played Tomb Raider 1, therefore not knowing who Nata is. So the creators were being crafty, they made Anniversary so that today's gamers would understand who Natla is and how she fits in to Underworld.
I agree, keith, I noticed that too. If they do remake I just hope it's not like Underworld, I want the graphics to look like they did in Anniversary, because the way TRU looked on PS2 was bad compared to how it looked on the XBOX360. One of the threads that I went for TR had a question like this, wanting a TR2 remake, one of the posters said that they think that Crystal is trying to remake the whole series (with the exception of AoD), do you guys believe that?

I don't. At this point it's doubtful if they will give remakes another look, thanks to Underworld's astounding mediocrity.
Fans should count themselves lucky if we get another real game in the near future and not more download-only co-ops.

I would rather the graphics looked like the new Tomb Raider that is coming out next March since Motion Capture is what they do these days it would look weird if they went back to the Underworld type face of Lara.
I had the original Tomb Raider 1 on both PC and Playstation One versions, still prefered the PC one for the better background music, the graphics were awesome for Anniversary but I found it way harder to complete, I never got further than the first Natlas Mines.
AOD was way too hard for me although I did like like the locations and music.
Seeing the levels of old with new graphics would be amazing. The Floating Islands. Venice. The Barkhang Monistery. The Great Wall. So many places from the game would look great if they used the latest graphics... not Legends graphics.
