Litterally everything above sums up what scared me during my Resident Evil years since I was 15 in 1997. I'll say what scared me anyway, and I'm not going to just list 5. I like to list everything.
Resident Evil 0: Giant Spiders, Giant Frog (Lurker) and being eaten alive by it, that first Plague Crawler (centipede) dropping down after being lifted up.
Resident Evil 1 (DC): The mansion alone scared me the first time. Every room I went into back then the first time I deeply squinted because I thought something terrible was on the other side every possible time. The dogs that crash the windows in both the yellow L-Passage and in the gray passage with the pillar (advance mode). Giant spiders scared me badly into a trauma and there's a story about a bad first experience with these horrible creatures. Back then I had to use an old 1979 TV set my mother had before she got married, it was so old it had perminate bold lines on it and the higher up the screen the closer the lines were. When I went into that billard room in the Guardhouse, I saw something moving on the ceiling and because of those lines being so close together toward the top of the screen, I thought it was a ceiling fan turning. When that "fan" dropped and its stripped legs flared up, I screamed, and then a second spider dropped closer to the screen and I screamed again. I ran out, and I just couldn't take it. That is not a good way to discover something that horrible, and I don't spiders to begin with. Anyway, then there's a zombie in Chris's gameplay or any in Advance mode in the Arklay Lab and you can see its hideious face up close. Then there's that Hunter in the blue-green F-Shape hallway that jumps out from around the corner. It's not as bad from the silver Tea Passage but from the other side from the gray collumn passage when it jumps into the air swipping its claw screaching. The first time I saw the giant spider in the Tea Passage instead of a hunter in Advance mode. I got scared again when that Hunter jumped around the corner near the bathroom door. I always thought that passage was always clear. In the Guardhouse basement when that blue Jaws jumped out of the water and devoured me. The Yawn Snake didn't scare me that badly, but enough to where I battle it near the enterance door. Those dogs in the courtyard that run from around corners. I was feeling suspensed when draining the dirty water in the Room 001 bathroom because I thought there was going to be a dead body there. I like the soundtrack of the pre-duel shock version, but some of those songs are haunting, like the Mansion Basement "Close And Narrow." There was that one zombie in the kitchen by the elevator I almost missed. Sometimes the Chimeras bug me -- no pun intended. Holy crap, I didn't know until I typed it out that Resident Evil 1 scared me this badly, and yet it's my favorite of all of them, and I dream of building and living in that mansion if I ever win the lottery. I would make the mansion more plesant looking.
Resident Evil Remake: Zombies burst through doors even if I expect it by the doorknobs jiggling. The spiders in the basement, but not the Guardhouse's billard room. I didn't like it when a crimson head sneaks up on me from behind when I didn't know it was time for them to rise again. The sharks were scarier in this one than in the orignal. They were more Jaws-like. The zombie taking a bath didn't scare me because I saw a short clip of it online, but I did like Jill getting a return on her lunch in the toilet. The hunter's screaching is just as bad as in the original.
Resident Evil 2: Giant spiders in the sewers. I didn't know at first what that first one was in the Leon game was until I recalled the first game, then I waited until it was on the ceiling so I can pass it up, and not knowing there was a second one. This was my reason for getting strategy guides for ever Resident Evil game. I DO NOT like these 8-legged creepy crawlers and I don't want to keep turning my undershorts into a fudge factory. There was the times the Licker crashed the one-way mirror in both scenarios, the one what dropped from the sky light in the ruby room. There was those zombies that grabbed you in the green passage in the A scenario, and then those same zombies crashed the window in the B scenario. Mr. X bursting through the wall scared me too many times. Mr. X again in the third story lobby balcony. The alligator in the sewer was a problem for me too. Being wipped by the Ivy plants when think they're dead. That licker in the lower lab level that dropped from the air duct. I didn't like that moth. There's the Extreme Battle Mode where I didn't know what monsters were in each room. Again I dread spiders and not knowing which rooms had them. Also there was Chief Irons shooting up from the trap door on the floor of his taxidermy room.
Resident Evil 3: The zombie jumping out of the car door before the mechanic's save room. Nemesis didn't scare me in the police station because it gives you a heads up when you hear a window crack. Those drain demios and brain suckers with that hissing noises was bad. The Beta Hunters in the hospital were not good. Nemesis running out from around the corner in the shopping district (between the restaurant and main street), either the dogs or crows crashing the window on the main street. Nemesis chasing you around when you're just trying to shake him off. I don't like the giant spiders (yes, again) in the clock tower and sewer tunnel in the park. That one passage in the clock tower between the library and clock puzzle is just creepy with or without spiders.
Resident Evil Survivor: Giant spiders and hunters sneaking up from behind. The whole environment in that game just feels dangerous all around. You got monster after you and you got shooters trying to kill you and the island is just dark and sinister.
Resident Evil CODE: Veronica: The black widows made me a tad nervous but not as bad as the PS1 Resident Evil spiders. That bandersnatch that crashed the window before going to the Ashford Mansion. There's tortchure areas. Alfred Ashford had similarities to Norman Bates. I jumped a little when that tenticle burts through the wall and knocks Claire down.
Resident Evil 4: As cool as they are, some of the fatalities were pretty brutal such as the Garrador impaling you in the head with one claw, lifts you up and impales you in the gut. The Garradors were creepy. The Novistators (bugs) in the sewer scared me because I don't know the exact moment they appear and attack and that music. That Ganado that jumped out of the fire cabinet only scared me once. Those Las Plagas wolves scared me, especially in the hedge maze when they jump out and go bad on you. I also didn't like it when those wolves had you pinned down and they are tearing you a new one. Brutal! This one was an accident and had me screaming swear words was when I was shooting the fish on the lake doc and that lake serpent shot up from the water and ate me whole. I was nervous when I heard that giant creature moaning and groaning while it was locked up. The prison on the island was quite disturbing looking. A piece of dynamite exploding that I didn't know was lit and thrown at me. I didn't like it when I missed the bear traps and it startled me. I didn't like those Las Spiders. I like the cultist in the castle, but they at times scare me. There was the moving body in the body bag in the island prison. Sometimes that U2 monster scared me by dropping down in front of the camera. Leon's appearance isn't all that attractive; he looks kind of creepy too. The castle, as much as I like it, is styled pretty creepy too.
Resident Evil 5: When I hit by the beam in the worship room when I thought I was out of the way but I take a sudden hit and the loud reaction. I didn't quite care for those crocodiles in the marshlands. Those spiderdy things in the cave and temple ruins didn't scare me, but they weren't all that attractive either. Also some of those rooms in the Spencer Estate (Lost In Nightmare) was creepy, and then there was one of those Guardians Of Insanity that's around the corner in the prison at the top of the stairs. I knew it was there, but I didn't know it was RIGHT there.
Resident Evil Outbreaks 1, File 2: Spiders under the university. Some of the atmospheres are creepy.
Resident Evil Dead Aim: Some of the atmosphere is creepy, but I don't remember this game scaring me much.
Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles: Spiders. Some creatures I don't like sneaking from behind me or from around corners.
Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles: Spiders, but this time they jump on your TV screen and I have a big screen in a room that makes me have to sit close up. Alfred acting more psycho than his Norman Bates version in CODE Veronica. The black widows are more nasty looking in this than in CODE Veronica. Also my imagination of the voice files of Sherry and Annette's phone calls.
Resident Evil Survivor 2 CODE: Veronica: This game wasn't released in America.
Resident Evil Revelations: I haven't played this game yet.
Resident Evil Operaiton Raccoon City: I have it but I haven't played it yet.
Resident Evil 6: I only played the Leon scenario and the only part that scared me was some of the game's dark atmosphere.
Resident Evil Gaiden: Nothing.
As you can conclude, I hate spiders, especially the PS1 Resident Evils, and back in the day I did get easily scared. Thank god I mastered these games well enough to where none of those things above bother me anymore.
