Blind characters..

There are several characters throughout the movie that sight issues, I know the man on the hand truck represents the Oracle, and Big Dan (John Goodman) represents the Cyclops,..does anyone know if the blind radio station owner, or the Sherrif (who's eyes we never see) having relation to Homer's odyssey?

Radio station man represents Homer himself. A blind man who "records" the story of Ulysses (or Odysseus). I've read that the sheriff is supposed to represent Poseidon, but I'm not sure how.

The sheriff is Hades.
