what is the beginning music theme for this series? i know it is something by beethoven but that is all I got

No its not. Jim Latham made it. It just sounds like a remix of Beethoven's. But its not.
shareJim Latham also did the sound track for "Descent II", which was one of the first fully 3-D 6 degrees of freedom shoot-em-ups. Basically, you blow up a bunch of robots on various planetoids. The soundtracks are quite similar, and pretty up-tempo techno. This game was popular around the time of the first DOOM, although without the gore and therefore somewhat more palatable to people who worry about such things.
