Some help please...

I am confused to which one I should buy.

The link has list of different DVDs to buy. I just want the complete series. But I read the board and it looks like there's no final ep for the closure. That is giving me a second thought about buying anything related to Roughnecks.

It has been long time since I have watched the series on WB.

Also, does DVD boxset for Roughnecks have closed captioning? (WB offered it back then and I'm deaf so I need it.)

Well they sell the complete campaign which is the complete series plus some bonus episodes. All you get are those episodes and some artwork. If you buy the series seperate they have a "Filmmakers' commentary" and the "Trailer". Perhaps some other stuff I'm not sure.

I bought the complete series because buying each campaign seperate is more expensive and I really didn't care to spend more money to get a commentary I didn't care to listen to. The dvd's do have closed captioning.

Now I've only gotten through the first 2 cd's in the boxset (of 4). It's quite good. The cgi isn't as good as todays standards and the violence is no where near that of the movie. It's more like pg 13'ish but it's fine none the less.

I did hear that there was no final episodes. Something about the producers running out of money. But then if you ever read the book, there was no conclusion to the war in it also. Same goes with the motion picture and I'm assuming it's sequel. I guess it'll be up to the person viewing it to use their imagination and decide what you think happens in the end. I can live with that but not everyone can.

Oh, as long as there's no ending to book nor movie, then I can accept it. It's because that story tell us that war is still going on and it's up for anyone's guess.

I'm glad that the boxset is CC because many anime or CGI isn't closed captioned.

I just wanted to buy it to find out why I love it when I was a young girl. That types of show wasn't one I would watch. I am not big on troop stories, but I just knew I loved the series and was wondering why it disappered from the television.

Thank you for answering my question.
