What is Dent?
Is he an alien as well or is he supposed to be some kind of bot or droid?

A droid/bot built by Banning and his team of aliens with one goal-kill anyone who interferes with Banning's plan to change the earth's atmosphere to suit Banning's own kind. Think Data-Star Trek:TNG for basic construction.

I think the point was that one of the good guys built him but he got corrupted by the main bad guy. I loved this show and I thought Dent's character was the best thing about it. The writers had some great lines for him, and I do wonder how much of the tics and expressions and stuff came from Gordon Currie or the directors/producers/writers.
