Is this good for me 12 yr old cuzin
is this good for my 12 yr old cuzin...does it contain strong sexuality and nudity.
shareis this good for my 12 yr old cuzin...does it contain strong sexuality and nudity.
shareIt has cussing, makes light of killing and professional killers (for comedy), and has some nudity and sexuality. Depends on the maturity of your cousin and what ratings he's used to watching.
All in all not a bad guy-if looks, brains and personality don't count.
Definitely not for a 12 year old! Nudity, bad language and extremely bad morals. The humor would be completely over their head, so all in all it is not a good choice!

"Nudity, bad language and extremely bad morals"
I guarentee that the kid will enjoy these parts.
Especially Amanda Peet.
Nudity = topless scene of Amanda Peet when she kills some people who break into some house. I forget who or whose house because it's been a long time since I saw this movie....

It is a good movie, and there is a nude seen of Amanda Peet (above the waste) It is nothing that your cousin hasn't seen yet in a movie anyway.

In Finland this movie is rated for ages 11+.
shareThe maturity of his cousin is 12 years old as stated.
That's rape in every city in the USA. Maturity has already been decided, but then there are loads of who knows what kind of people that want every standard ever offered lowered or eliminated.
If you wouldn't watch this in front of your priest or your parents, or wouldn't want your 12 yr. old sister watching it with her school grade boyfriend alone, that's probably a good indicator at just how awful it is for minors.
It's awful for adults as well, but then that's what is put out today.
I figure in 10 or 20 years parents will be considered prudes if they don't take their gradeschool children to live sex on stage shows.
I don't agree with any of that, and the decline continues.
no they most likely won't understand the adult humor (Room service I'm going to need a bigger bottle of scotch :) no 12 yr old is going to understand that.)

Seeing as this movie IS PG-13 in my book, it would probably be fine... Like one F word, and a like 30 second topless amanda peet scene...

It depends on the maturity level of your cousin. It, aso, probably depends on what your cousin's parents/guardians allow. I mean I saw this movie when I was 11 and I've been watching rated "R" movies since I was five (I believe that the 1st one I saw was "Alien"). My parents have always let me watch whatever I want, becuase they know that I understand that it is just entertainment and have the maturity level to handle movies. So if your cousin is like this (me), then he/she should be fine watching this movie.

hey i was 12 when i watched this??? I thought it was hilarious, u get this find of physical comedy in Friends! Go MATTHEW PERRY!!! Bruce willis was funny too
sharewell, I watched this move two times and there are some hot and a little part of killing in the movie, but will depends of the mind of your cousin, watch firts and make your opinion.
sharejust hold a hand for his eyes a couple of times and it all works out :P
shareI'd like to say that "The Whole Nine Yards" only says one cuss word in that whole movie. Janni is talking about how he isn't a rat *beep* like Jimmy. I saw this movie when I was 12. I saw my first rated R movie when I was 6.(A Perfect Murder.) Overall, I wouldn't let any kid under 13 watch this movie.
share*beep* let him see this, i saw it when i was 11 theres nudity but its amanda peet so its ok some violence some langugue and somne sex
What do you mean it's Amanda Peet so it's ok? There's about 5 minutes, of pure topless woman. Definately not for a 12-year old.
shareWhen i first saw this movie i was 10 and i loved it it does have language Nudity and violence but if he wants to see it let him see it it is a great movie did he see titanic if he did he could see this think about that
shareOh no! A topless woman! It's the end of civilisation as we know it!

Offhand, I always find it absurd that someone comes here and asks this, and the answer is summarily given "There's nothing wrong with this movie, just ten minutes of ass sex and two come shots..." Of course, that answer is given by an army of 12-16 year olds. Although this is an old post... here's a suggestion: Ask your cousin's parents. That's who the ratings are made for.
share´´no they most likely won't understand the adult humor (Room service I'm going to ¨
Either you were an idiot when you where 12, or any of the kids you meet as idiots. My 11 year old cousin understood it just fine, so did his friends. Heck, its one of their faves.

Becouse she is not an old hag or ugly, so he wont have visions of ugly women.

I am 18., not 12, so I can say for myself that I am fine with kids seeing nudity. Leave North america for once, go to europe. There you will see just how many perants dont mind their kids seeing something that is normal.
(In case you still dont understand, europeans are fine with nudity, and they dont all turn out to be serial rapists.)
And yes, This movie is good. Take your cuz, he will enjoy it. It is very funny.
"I am 18., not 12, so I can say for myself that I am fine with kids seeing nudity. Leave North america for once, go to europe. There you will see just how many perants dont mind their kids seeing something that is normal."
Gee, congratulations on your 18th birthday, but that's meaningless. Let <your> kids go--those are the only kids you have any say in what they do. If you think that you're in a position to decide for other peoples' kids, you're an arrogant prig. there are 12 year old kids who are mature enough to handle adult situations in movies, and there's 20 year old adults who clearly aren't mature enough to handle their own life. Of course, the biggest test of whether they're old enough to see it is for them to sit down with their mother and father and watch it, and see how the kid reacts.
Now, moving on to your standard European attitudes bulls hit, I suggest that you may want to get out a little more yourself, because there are people in Europe, from what I've experienced, who don't want their own kids exposed to certain things--not to mention that your own personal intelligence level comes into question here by your obvious bigotry against Americans. Interesting you didn't say anything about Indians, Africans, Canadians, Japanese, Koreans, Filipinos, or any other number of the majority of countries in the world who don't think their children should be subjected to nudity, sex and violence, or at least parents who want the option of knowing what their kid is watching. You single out "Europe," as if all Europeans are mindless automatons who think alike. That's insanely stupid. Also, I always love how individuals like you seem they are the ones who decide what is "normal." I don't recall "normal" being brought up here... we're talking about movies and ratings, and asking complete strangers that you have no idea how old they are whether the movie is suitable for a little kid to see. Like I said, if you want to have sex in front of your kids because that's "normal," I guess that's your choice, at least until Child Protective Services shows up. Please leave my kids out of it.
See... being 18 doesn't make you inherently intelligent or mature, nor does being European somehow make them sexually liberated--and if it does, that doesn't necessarily mean you're correct... but I'm sure you'll have some argument for that that'll be just as big of a pantload as your last post.
Well, I will admit ragreen259,that is a somewhat smart reply. But first of all, I am not singling out europeans. Second, I never said I find it normal to have sex in front of a 12 year old. I just said if a kid wants to watch a movie that may contain some sex scenes, so what, it will not scar him. And who the fu*k said I am Anti American. I also know about the varius levels of muturity people seem to poses, but that does not really matter does it, if a really immature 12 year old saw sex, so what. Interesting that I did not mention that a majority of countries in the world who don't think their children should be subjected to nudity, sex and violenc, huh. So what, What the perants think is their own problems, Trues, it is good for perants to keep an eye on their kids, but there are better things to worry about their kids then just nudity or sex. Maby even violence, maby not pure hardrock violance, but avarage, like shootings and fighting and action.
""Also, I always love how individuals like you seem they are the ones who decide what is "normal." I don't recall "normal" being brought up here... we're talking about movies and ratings, """
Well, if we are only talking about the movie, then I will make only one pint. There was only a nude girl in the movie, so the kid would be fine, heck, even a 6 year old would see it and not give a *beep* There is no big deal about seeing a naked body.
Okay, I'm curious. What is that does that you only capable to see nudity and viloence when you're 18? I been watching Jason Voorhees kill naked girls since I was 8, and I knew it was'nt real so what is the problem?
The Boogeyman is real... and you've found him!
"Okay, I'm curious. What is that does that you only capable to see nudity and viloence when you're 18? I been watching Jason Voorhees kill naked girls since I was 8, and I knew it was'nt real so what is the problem?"
No problem, just so many people are so insecure with their sexuality and sh**.
Oh, well certainly, everybody knows that that MUST be the true test of someone's level of comfort with their sexuality. It's like, "Hey, I'm comfortable with my sexuality, might as well go show naked people engaging in sexual intercourse to a 6 year old, dum dee dum dee dum! I do it in a healthy manner within the confines of my bedroom with my spouse or monogamous partner of either sex, the next logical step is to show film of naked breasts to my neighbor's kids!" Makes perfect sense.
shareI didnt bother reading all of the responses... but I agree with some. It all depends on the maturity of the kid. I believe, that if the kid wants to see it, he should. He'll see it one way or another. Its always best watching it with the parents at his age though. Then again, I dont believe in censorship, so I dont find a lot bad in movies
But... in my opinion, just let the kid see it. Its really not a bad movie, it's rather hilarious.

I saw it & I turn 14 next week. Happy B-Day to me! It depends what KIND of 12 he is.
"I will chop your legs off, burn down your house, & watch you drag your stubs out."
It's great for a 12 year old, he would love it. It contains guns, some mild swearing and a hot nude lady. No blood or gore.
