Lame line

This movie is hilarious and I own and love it, but one of the lines at the end of the movie has got to be the dumbest, most lame line I've ever heard in a movie.

"I don't just wanna marry you. I wanna marry you more than anyone has ever wanted to marry anybody in the history of the world."

Damn thats lame.

I think it was meant to be lame. This whole movie is poking fun at itself. Oz is really dorky. He wouldn't say anything smooth; he would say something lame.

reply

A little over the top, trite and silly but he made his point- that he is a dork.

That one was cheesy, but it was cheesy purposely and in a good way.

The lame guy is finally doing something 'cool' and he hams it up with the whole, "I'm Mr. Careful," cue the audience laughing at his dorkiness.

'im mr. careful'...that line was meant to be cheesy and funny, coz OZ was trying to sound real smooth, cool and as if he had everything undercontrol...but hes just a dork

Those lines were pretty lame but it's definitely not the lamest line I have ever heard in a movie. Most Lifetime movies have a lot of lame lines.

The most lame line I have heard my boyfriend can't even listen to it because it literally hurts his brain. It's from Heartbeat, "I now pronounce you man, wife, and family" (they had a baby and then got married).

Yeah, i always feel a little embarassed for the actors when i hear that line. the movie works well as a comedy, but not so much as a romantic comedy.

I think that line was kind of a nod to his character in 'Friends'. Chandler was always saying stuff like that, though not quite as seriously. My favorite was when he was trying to break up with Janice and he ended up hitting her by accident. He shouts to Phoeby 'This is the worst breakup in the history of the world!!'. Funny stuff. Just his tendancy to exagerate the importance of things.

ROFLMAO!

I also thought it was cheesy but hilarious when he said, "I'm being careful. I'm a dentist."
Like, WTF.

It's was horrible. How the hell would he know that anyway? In real life lines like that wouldn't fly.

reply

Um... I think we can say with a good deal of certainty that this movie does not represent "real life".
