Random idea for a sequel

Random Thought:

I know the movie came out thirteen years ago but I just had an idea for a sequel to Shadow of the vampire. You know how Shadow of the vampire was a fake docudrama about how the film Nosferatu was made but with Murnau hiring a real vampire? Well, Murnau's last German silent film was a year later with Faust. What if he casts a real demon as Mephisto? I'd pay money to see this. "Shadow of the Demon"? It can play with the Faust legend and have dark humor the way Shadow fo the Vampire did in regard to vampires and Dracula.

Just as Max Shreck was a real vampire in Shadow of the vampire something similar coudl be done with his last film, especially since the actor who played Faust went on to marry a real Gretchen (the name of Faust's love interest).

Reductive.

Reductive but interesting!

The title was taken from the Nosferatu quote "And at that moment, as if by a miracle, the sick no longer died, and the stifling shadow of the vampire vanished with the morning sun.”

That would be a very cheesy sequel to repeat things so closely, but I would probably watch it. Faust is much less well known though, so I doubt it would do as well.

Exactly why it should be done. Faust deserves more attention.

I'd rather see a sequel-prequel about the origins of Max Shreck and how he became a vampire and his life leading up to the start of his role in Shadow of the Vampire.
