shareThere was a woman who played an important part of the story who was eventually edited out for unknown reasons. Maybe for time, maybe to make Schreck's origins more mysterious.
It all starts with the woman from the cabaret that Murnau sees at the beginning. She's the owner that he has a sadomasochistic relationship with. She's also the one who gave him "Dracula" because she wanted him to make a beautiful film about Dracula's vampirism. She's eventually revealed to be Schreck's first bride and the one who cursed him with vampirism.
