I know many critics were bad for this film but I love it. Paris under the sand is fabulous, Romain Duris and the ensemble cast are excellent, the music is great (also the participation of Screamin Jay Hawkins), and the idea and subject left me on a cloud!

I just watched this movie and really liked it. It's not very common for non-USA movies to be broadcasted on cable here in Mexico but I'm glad I watched it.
I'm not familiar with either the director or actors (except for Belmondo) and even though some parts were similar to other movies like the back-to-the-future-dissappearing thing and the fact it was very predictable I really enjoyed it.
I dont understand why this movie got such a bad critic, and didnt get a good commercial welcome.
I really think it's a good movie, lots of good things about it, one of the most important being that the story doesnt bother explaining things, like the sand, or how people travel in time.
And it's absolutely true, the music score is brilliant!
