Under-rated film

I remember watching this film in a theatre, soon after its release--and loving it for its grace and quiet manner of telling a simple and effective story. Unfortunately, the film did not become a hit with general public. I wonder why some films fail to touch most viewers. The media and audience in general seem to have rejected this film. I happen to find it sweet, funny and real.
