What did Mivka die from? Was it that she was really pregnant or that she died of a broken heart, did someone give her poison, did she kill herself???!!! Her sister asked her husband, "what did you do to Mivka, she is who I loved most in the world?" So I was thinking, did the RAbbi's give her something? Where was Meirs new wife in that scene?

She died of a broken heart.

Although, there is a reference of a Talmud teaching that says that a woman who does not bear children is equivalent to a dead woman...so draw your own conclusions.

Ultimately, the ending shows how the 2 sisters escaped that world. One through death and the other left Jerusalem.
