one reason this went off the air

this show was basically one big Halloween special EVERY episode, like i know most of you are gonna be like "buffy gets away with it" and i dont know why. but you make a kid turn into a werewolf and its got "halloween special" written all over it. and people didnt want to be watching a halloween show in the middle of february.

WOW! ABC canceled State of Grace?!! I really liked that show!!!

Oh well.

reply

I concur.

Brooklyn Rules is a good film
I fell asleep during POTC: At World's End..

reply

It did feel like an Halloween special.

reply

I remember them having a sort of Christmas special. With some kind of evil Santa.

Behind every man stands a woman, and behind her is his wife!

reply

This show was hillarious, so good at doing parody of Buffy and lot of other stuff, i still watch it even if i saw every episode like 7 time or more... so no this was not a halloween special every week.

reply

I agree with the poster who mentioned it changing to ABC Family. When it was Fox Family,at least the shows were interesting and good. Now the shows on ABC Family are absolutely boring.

Dude,Mieke's hideous RUN!

reply

Except Smallville, Grounded For Life, and Boy Meets World, I don't see much of a point of watching.

To Kanye West: "Holla 'He ain't Jesus!' He ain't Jesus!"

reply

I agree GuitarGod2005, those are pretty much the only shows I watch on that channel, but they've got to move Boy Meets World till later beacuse I'm never home when its on.

reply

I come home and see the last 15 minutes of it, so i just record them on video and watch them later.

Sort of like somebody said earlier, Big Wolf on Campus was cancelled because of ABC's takeover of Fox Family. The show was cancelled after 65 episodes, as Disney does with all of it's shows. This has been the case ever since Michael Eisner took the job. Disney has cancelled shows like Kim Possible, Lizzie McGuire, and Even Stevens because of the same reason.

PS- I loved Big Wolf on Campus; now I hate Disney :(

reply

I hate Disney too.

reply

right, because disney owns ABC. i wonder why they do that... maybe it's because the kids will have grown up too much for it. strange.

reply

I despise Disney... it's now more of a Industry than an entertainment franchise.

reply

Kim Possible wasn't cancelled...well anyway, I still love Disney, they keep some good shows around for awhile.

The only reason why those shows (Smallville, Boy Meets World, and Grounded for Life) are the only good things on ABC family is because they were originally on other networks first.

So ABC family does not have any good (original) programing.

reply

ABC does mainly original movies. I loved Big Wolf (love Merton!)
I still love Disney and I plan on working at the park one day, but I think that they should've kept shows longer.

I got a jar a' dirt!
And guess what's inside it!

reply

I like halloween...

reply

eh, I guess that could be the reason. Then again, it was a really cheesy show with not that great of a cast and really crummy story lines.

I only watched ABCFamily because of Smallville, and they took that off too!!!

reply

I miss this show.

The show never struck me as a halloween special. That's a really cynical view to be honest. So it's about werewolves and all that jazz, big deal! Roll with it, enjoy it. Goofy shows like this are just fun and entertaining, until you start taking them seriously. So don't. *shrugs* Why not have a little 'halloween' fun all year round?

'I still maintain that he kicked himself in the balls!'

reply

How are Buffy and this just 'One big Halloween Special"? Just because thay have supernatural elements doesn't make them that...

reply

No offense, but if you think this was cheesy with crummy story lines, I don't think you really got the show. Sure, the acting wasn't that great, but it wasn't even about that. They were making fun of B-movies and the horror genre. It was all about nonsensical fun.

No wonder you have to pretend. You're one of a kind!

Well said!

reply

It's kind of ironic talking about pretending in a thread with "Wolf" in the title, given the whole meaning behind "wolf in sheep's clothing" - Which, which, uh, you certainly are not!

No way! I'm innocent like Mary with her little lamb.🐑

reply

i thought it went off air because abc took over, and they still give reruns in canada wich is not fair T-T

Alice(is me):You've kept me waiting a long time.

reply

America should get reruns somehow...how would we get them? i vote we get it!!!

Dr. Cox: Oh my god...I care so little I almost passed out!

reply

I remember Jetix used to show the episodes before it was called Jetix (I don't remember what it was called) and then it changed just about its whole line up and Big Wolf wasn't on it, and it depressed me.

ABC and Disney both suck now ¬_¬

Mental breakdown in 3, 2, 1

reply

Buffy was very different and more serious. The budget for that show was larger as well.
BWOC was cute and fun, and I still watch the reruns on YouTube, but it didn't compare to Buffy.

A bit of the old ultraviolence...
