I just finished watching this. It was ok, I watched some of the first season when it was originally on(being a huge Beast Wars fan), and I didn't think it was bad, but didn't follow it. I downloaded and watched the whole thing over the last two weeks or so. Anyway, what I wanted to know...

Why did Cybertron attack the Maximal ship when it was on its way back from Earth? The only thing I can think of is that Megatron somehow got there first because he fell off in transwarp and by the time they actually got there Megatron had been there for a while and had already unleashed his virus and taken over. Is there an actual answer though?

It's been a few months since I've watched Beast Machines, but from what I remember you're right. Megatron got there ahead of the Maximals and had already taken over by the time they got there.

Yeah it shows him prying himself off the ship and falling away, but did he change lanes and go a little further back in time? Because for all this *beep* to have happened by the time they finished FLYING there in a ROCKET SHIP, he seems to have been there a long long time.

They were travelling through a time wormhole when he broke free. He escaped the tunnel before they did and because it was a time portal it meant he emerged earlier in time than they did.

Exactly. He arrived back on Cybertron before the Maximals arrived, created the virus, released it on the planet, took over the planet's defense systems, and was waiting for the Maximals to arrive to attack. Remember, he knew when they would be arriving because he was on the shuttle.

One problem, if he got there before they did, that means he went back in time sorta speak. Then shouldn't he have gotten to Cybertron before the events of BW?
