Does anyone know the name of the band and the theme music that plays throughout the movie. It's incredible.

I wish it was available! It's a masterpiece!

I found out what it is because of a friend in the UK. It's called Surf Finger and it's by Jack Nitzsche.

Thank you!! I just listened to Surf Finger and I think the version in Mondo is a ripp off or a variation of this tune...The notes are minor and in Surf Finger they are minor...But everything else about the arrangements are the same!! Interesting!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-spNkl3So88

Yes, there's a very interesting story about these tunes.

There are several Nitzche instrumentals that spin off each other.

The Lonely Surfer is one. Then there's this.

The Last Race was used in the film Valley of the Giants and then re-used by Tarantino in Death Proof with Kurt Russell.

This is a somewhat lengthy history of Surf Finger by my friend in the UK Martin Robert wrote this fascinating story. Surf Finger has its beginnings in another piece!
