Saturday night?

I'm American, and never got into the E/Rave scene, so excuse my ignorance on this topic. I was kinda surprised to see them all heading home Saturday morning before the sun was even up. The way they were getting pumped on Friday night, and going by the short synopsis of the movie on the TV guide, I was expecting a weekend-long rager, or at least well into Saturday. They didn't even go out on Saturday night and they seemed like they had all day Saturday to rest up. Is the E comedown really that horrendous that you need all day Saturday and Sunday to recover? Even though I've never done E, I've comedown from other substances and I'll just try to reverse the effects with more drugs/booze if I want to keep partying.

Again, excuse my ignorance, but I'm just curious. Overall, I enjoyed this movie even though I couldn't fully relate to it. I think I liked it better than Groove, even though I could understand more of the language in Groove :)

Generally in the UK, if you go for a monster Friday night (like in this film) you can generally write off the following two days. The partying will usually go on till sat lunch time when it goes one of two ways. You push on through the comedown 'reverse it' as you put it, or you simply go into hibernation until sunday night.

Maybe some do - personally I used to go out on a Friday night, sleep (or try to!) until Saturday afternoon and then go out again on Saturday night. Off to bed fairly early on Sunday night and back to work on Monday morning.

Not every single weekend throughout the year but usually most weekends during the summer when the big raves were going on (clubs went on all year, but the big marquee in a field raves only really happened in the summer).
