I liked this

some great writing and acting. though im not sure if i have the bbfc cut UK edition of the film or the uncut version.

I wouldn't say acting was so good.
And I found lead actresses voice very annoying, especially when she was crying. Awful! At one point I actually thought it was a comedy, but the plot wasn't funny at all. Confusing :))

Sallee's acting was terrible and her voice, even worse.

I remember renting this around 1998-2000. Pretty bizarre movie.

Bizarre, yes, and I liked that the rapists were wearing weird masks.

Agreed. This was her film debut I believe so I did cut her some slack but that screech of hers... yikes! The only redeeming part of this mess of a movie was Harry Reems. Yes he was a porn star but he could act somewhat decently IMO.

This movie missed some good opportunities. I didn't mind Sallee Young's acting. At some point when she sais 'this can't be happening again', I actually felt some empathy for her. The idea of seeing a beautiful woman wearing lingerie and wielding an ax ready to kill is alluring.

Apart from that, this movie was the Abbot and Costello version of 'I spit on Your Grave".

I'm a sucker for Intercontinental Releasing's horror films from the early '80s, as cheesy as they might be ("Home Sweet Home" anyone?). This film is pretty interesting and obviously inspired by "I Spit On Your Grave". In some ways, it feels like an exploitation version of Roman Polanski's "Repulsion".
