The movie overall was okay ... nothing spectacular ... but my problem was with Nicole. I don't particularly like her as an actress and I didn't like her in this either. Since "Nadia" was Russian, I think Milla Jovovich would have been a better choice. She's much more interesting an actress, and way better to look at. Nicole wasn't convincing.

I actually think she did quite a good job, and I'm not a blind devoted fan of hers (I just didn't like Moulin Rouge, for example). First, the dark hair really changed her look, and her Russian accent speaking English was actually pretty good (we've got several Russians in this college town). I can't critique her Russian accent speaking Russian.
I forgot for parts of the film that she was Nicole Kidman, and she didn't even have a prosthetic nose. As far as Milla Jovovich being better, I honestly don't know her work well enough to argue.
I'll tell you one thing: this movie convinced me to think twice before ordering a Russian mail order bride on "A Foreign Affair".
Nicole is usually pretty good looking, but with dark hair (and masscara lol) she was way hot in this movie. And I thought her accent was great ;)

i think it a little strange that they put only non-russians to play the roles, i think it might be quite disturbing watching the movie, if i were a russian myself. but, i'm happy with the casting, as i must admit being a nicole kidman "fan".

Actually, Milla is part Russian. Her mother is Russian and her father is Serbian.
I don't think Nicole was miscast; and she pulls off a Russian accent better than a Southern American accent (her attempt at one in Cold Mountain was rather cringeworthy!).
oh i dont think milla is hotter than nicole i thimnk nicole is one of the Hottest red heads i have seen (after my twin sister shes gorjus)so yeh and she was awsome in this lol
shareYou're right. This was not one of Nicole's better roles. Milla is getting better but it's questionable if she can handle the main in a dramatic role the way Nicole is capable of. They're both on the up and up so I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of both.
