Forgot name of old-time analyst

With Don Cherry dominating the "Top Analyst" rankings for the past several decades, I am embarrassed to admit that I have forgotten the name of another great (i.e. entertaining and controversial) analyst who used to work between periods on HNIC in the 70's and 80's.

Can anybody help refresh my memory of the name of this analyst? His signature gimmick was he always wore some sort of outlandish hat, loud blazers, and I believe he was a columnist for the Toronto Star in his "day job".
