what is it with this Bertuzzi thing? Can a guy that did something wrong and faced his punishment be allowed to not be constantly criticized? Fact is that he is a really good hockey player and an assest at these Olympics.

I agree that most people are deserving of a second chance and while I disagree with his addition to the team it's not only for what he did to Moore. His level of play this season alone wasn't good enough to crack the roster I thought. Can someone please shine some light on me as to why we went for big and brain dead when what we obviously needed was speed? Why not Kariya, Spezza, Stall?

I am a CANADIAN Olympic fan and every 4 years my CANADIAN Olympic Association has the job of putting together the best team posible to win metals at the games for the "CANADIAN PEOPLE".
I have the right to see the best athletes available to represent my country.
Todd Bertuzzi is one of the 25 best CANADIAN players and if I was denied his presents at these games because of a decision by the N.H.L."s "NEW YORK" office , I would be pissed.
Why Team Canada Kris Draper for the Olympic Team... I would have perfer to see Staal or Spezza on the team, they are way better than Draper.
shareI agree with you but my point is that "I" have that right and expectation of knowing that we have decided to go with this team and NOT the NHL.
This is our COUNTRY~S team , not the nhl/hollywood league. Its CANADAS team.
I would take the same stance with any player.
A couple of years later and i pretty much take back every thing I said.
