Peta Wilsons accent...

Is Peta Wilson supposed to have an american accent in this film because if she does its a really bad attempt. I dont mean to diss her, I think shes a good actress and very pretty it just distracted me from the film when I was trying to guess what accent she was doing. Does anyone agree with this or am I just a bit stupid as to not know what some americans sound like? (im British). Loved the film by the way very good acting from the lead actresses Ellen Barkin and Peta (despite the accent). If you havent watched it yet you should totally do so.

Peta is incapable of talking with anything other than her bizarre Papua/Australian accent. It's very unique and her voice is very nice but half of the time I can't figure out what she's saying it's too distracting. She says "noe" for "no" and weird things like that.

Come to think of it, 1/2 of the time I can't understand 90% of the folks with your accent either! Either talk American or I have no clue what you people are trying to say

I was wondering too, what in the hell kind of accent she was trying to do in the movie. Sometimes she sounded like a Louisianan, Texas Southerner, and a Newfoundlander at the times I could actually comprehend what she was saying. For the longest time, the scene I had recorded unto VHS when Peta and Ellen make out, I thought she was saying, "...a threesome do-easy enduit?" instead of, "...a threesome to ease you into it?" Bahahaha.
