The last illusion (SPOILER)

I thought this was a neat film and I know nothing about magic acts. The last illusion "stopping time" with the water was probably fake, done with the help of stop motion video but does anyone know if this illusion has ever been done live on stage?

no, it's impossible.

It's the one scene in the film that doesn't sit well with me, I know it was supposed to add a sense of wonder and amazement but its too much.

It's been a while since I saw it, maybe I'm being harsh.

I finally found this film on IMDb! It is one of my favorite films and oh what a deserted message board :(

Think I´ve seen it over 10 times, and the last scene is the most moving and brilliant one - to me.

Yes, it is impossible, but shows that Milo actually was a true magician, not an illusionist. And seeing the wonder every time I show this film - and especially this scene - to friends is magical.

I agree. I believe this is one of the better indie films I have seen. It is campy, is not afraid to poke fun at itself, has a great story, and great acting. I thought the humanity of each character was well-played out...not to mention, Claire Forlani looks great as a blonde! But the ending was very moving and contrary to the other comments, I think it was quite fitting. It's a shame this movie is not more well-known. I say bring it back!
