This has got to be one of the only movies made in 1999 that isn't on DVD, I mean most every movie relased even then was released on both VHS and DVD, why wasn't this? Maybe they just didn't want to invest too much money into a box office flop. But still by now you would think it would be on DVD!

shareI don't think it ever will be on DVD either. I mean it wouldn't make any sense to put it on DVD really. As far as I know neither versions of Doug are shown on TV today.
shareYeah it's not like this movie was successful or really memorable. Nickelodeon wouldn't bother as with any of their older shows, and Disney only cares about more current films. The only way I see Doug ever winding up on DVD, is if some other distributor managed to get the rights for Doug and released a set of Doug dvds including the movie. If this movie came out a year or two later, it would of had a chance. Although it came out in the unfortunate time where VHS (the only way to see it) hadn't been phased out, and DVD was still new (for awhile only "big" movies wound up on dvd).
