hi regt, i see that you have a copy of Le Chainon Manquant. is your copy an english version called BC Rock? if not do you know how to get a copy of the english version. thanks for your help.
Hey .... Does anyone have a copy that i can get. Like to have the french version with english subtitles or the english dubbed version.... I know that they are selling it in france or belgium on DVD, but the Disc is on french and no subs in other language.
PS Many thanks to Regt for passing on this information. I have been trying to get this movie for about 15 years and have just ordered it via email. It appears the end of my search is finally within sight!!
argh, premature cry of happines.....tried the links above. one no longer has a copy, the other has a copy but does not state teh version (need English!). an y further help please ???
on Ezy DVD you have to search for "Missing link" otherwise you won't find it. This was the original title when shown in the Cannes festival in 1980. took me nearly one hour to find it. I have just ordered it. Should be still in stock. I have seen the film some twenty years ago in the cinema, and I was looking for some years now to find it. Lookslike to receive a real chrstmas present even when it will ship after new year.
Though I'm in Australia, I actually bought a DVD copy from the USA on Ebay, because I thought I was gong to be getting a stack of titles from this seller and itr would work out cheaper. It was called 'B.C. Rock' in the US version, and turned out to be a bootleg, as far as I can tell. But if you don't have a region-free DVD player, that might be your answer (Christ, if nobody has a region 1 licence, or if whoever has it is refusing to issue the film, I wouldn't feel too bad about it).
The quality isn't great, but I haven't seen the Australian release, so I don't know if that's any better.
I had the same experience--the B.C. Rock DVD I bought on EBay was clearly a bootleg, but I had been looking for the damn thing for a decade and was happy to have the bootleg instead of nothing--even if the quality wasn't very good.
At last, thanks för the information, i did order a coopy from Ezy DVD... so now i'm waiting for it... hope to have it soon. I did also ordered from the french Amazon, coz i did found a copy that contains the original french and the english version.
Well i just wanna to say thanks to everybody that have tried to help, u see if we unite the world would be better. lets always help eachother...
There are a few problems in finding a decent version of the English version. First of all, there were two versions, the first being The Missing Link, the other, being B.C. Rock. The second is that with either version, you'd be hard pressed to find one with a decent picture and/or audio track. It's frustrating, to say the least!
