Is when we learn that Scud is working with the vampires, he explains how the exploding device on Reinhardt's neck is a dud. Why does Blade wait with detonating the device until it is in the hands of Scud? Would'nt Reinhardt be a much more strategic target?
shareI think Blade knew Reinhardt wouldnt be much of a challenge for him(A:Being the most openly hotile toward Blade and B:Just being a vampire anyway). Blade wanted to kill Scud with his own device. Kind of poetic justice Blade style.

I think the logic is - Blade wanted to draw Scud out. Scud hadn't revealed his treachery yet.

shareBLADE wasn't waiting for SCUD to reveal himself. BLADE wakes up and sees that WHISTLER and SCUD are prisoners too. He knows the latter is pretending, which means that he's still not ready to reveal himself. When he does, it's just a coincidence and BLADE feels it's the perfect opportunity to get back at him.

Scud needed to die maybe but he didnt pose a threat. He wasnt going to kill blade or fight or anything.
It was a "gotcha" moment to surprise the audience but it doesnt make much sense.
Specially when blade acts shocked.
He didnt need to let scud be revealed. It makes mo sense whatsoever
