Blade fights Nomack the first time and its much more of an even fight, possibly favoring Blade more.

In the second fight, Nomack dominates and only loses because of a Hail Mary by Blade.

2 reasons for the difference in Nomack's fighting ability.

1) The lesser reason was Nomack was trying to recruit Blade in the first scene. Killing Blade wasn't his goal, but that was his goal in the second fight.

2) The major reason is Nomack had killed 30 or 50 guards, and was well fed. That is why he takes the time to feed on every guard he kills.
