the homages-recreations were stupid and unfunny

i liked the show, i liked the story and i loved the characters
but i really always hated when they would recreate a scene from a famous movie. I never understood what was funny about badly recreating a scene from a movie. never understood what makes it funny to just say the same lines as the original and thats it. wheres the joke?

thankfully this show didnt have too many homage scenes like that, but the ones they had felt cringe worthy

Their references are well done and shows weren't really referencing the sorts of things they were at that time.

Despite what you've heard, opinions can definitely be wrong, and yours is certainly in that category.

Agreed!

I thought the homages were very well done, and very subtle too. I suspect I missed a few but that's all part of the charm with the show.

The DVD has a subtitle track listing each reference as they happen.
