Hey, why the silence? I know it's only 6 episodes long, but it was really really funny, and is now out on dvd and readily availible, at least in Australia.

I agree! This is the best! It gives Blackadder a run for its money. I'm in the US and I had to special order it from Australia. You Aussies have good taste!

Yeah, it does remind me of Blackadder quite a bit, but different, because the cast are mainly female!

Hi people, I'm British and LTEC was origionally British, but the Aussies got the hand me down. I personally don't know why, but it wasn't highly rated here and I think it may have been percieved as trying to copy Black Adder. I don't like Black Adder but LOVE this, don't know why us thick Brits turned our noses up at it. My favourite episode is episode 5 a marriage of convienience because i love kathy burke.

Oh god, I don't think that it's trying to copy Blackadder. Not really. The Dynamic is different and so is the flavor. Plus, the sex! No one ever got "any"in Blackadder...which was part of the fun. But a lot of the fun in LTEC is the sex. (Although the thing the Marquis de Sade does with his tongue in that one episode scares the crap out of me).
I do so love that the cast is mainly female (let's face it, being a queen, Bouffon is deffinately female).

I love how they bring in the whole thing about the court- it really was all about the sex and the flirtations. The women actually had a lot of control.
