"it could alwasy be converted using DVDShrink (on your PC) then burned as region free to play on your TV. ;-) "
Are you sure? A few years ago I thought DVDShrink asked, during the copy process, "This is in PAL format, do you want to convert to NTSC?" before burning. I converted 3 DVDs that way, with DVDShrink alone... I think.
New computer, newest copy of DVDShrink: I recently bought another Region 2 DVD and DVDShrink left it as PAL so my DVD player rejected it (since NTSC is used in the USA) no matter what the region setting was. It was a great pain in the buttocks to find an affordable program to convert PAL to NTSC and that program is horrible and takes forever.
I'd love it if you told me what I was doing wrong with DVDShrink so I could revert to using it by itself!

P.S. A couple of weeks ago I checked amazon.co.uk and Let Them Eat Cake was available but it was "out of stock" at amazon.com here in the USofA. I almost bought it but until I get this PAL - NTSC bit figured out converting Region 2 is too much of a pain.
