WHY DID THEY CANCEL THIS??????

French, Saunders...I am on my knees begging you here...DO ANOTHER SEASON! Maybe two. Or three. Hell, while you're at it, you might as well do a fourth and fifth.

um, I think it was only designed for 6 episodes. Typically britcom thing to do. The show was finished- the French Revolution had begun.

is it better just to do six episodes to keep people wanting more? I dunno. Anyway though, I know what you mean, it id fantastic isn't it?

Oh! But it was only 1782 when the show ended! Besides, it was quite a ways from the reputed (we know she didn't really say it) 'Let Them Eat Cake' quip to the actual decapitations! So much could be done with this! Please do another 2-3 seasons! It's the perfect balance of 'Vicar', 'Ab Fab', 'Blackadder' and 'French and Saunders'. What more could you want?

Of course I do.

Besides, they still owe me for not going through with 'Mirrorball'. That show would have been great. Too bad they only did a pilot. These shows are almost painful to watch because you just know that there won't be more. Crap.

Honestly I think, 6 episodes were enough. It was very funny and entertaining, but I am afraid, after some more episodes it would get boring.

I think, the great thing is, that French and Saunders always come up with new ideas and make mini-series to enjoy and then move foward to do the next best thing.

this was meant to have another series. series 2 was listed in future productions on tiger aspect's website (the production company that made the show for the bbc). sadly, it was cancelled by the bbc as it wasn't received very well and got poor viewing figures. it's criminal, because it is one of the funniest sitcoms ever made. this was going up against gimme gimme gimme which seemed to steal all the limelight that year (1999). we also saw the start of smack the pony and the league of gentlemen. all of which seemed to get a lot of attention (what a GREAT year for comedy that was). sadly, let them eat cake was poorly handled by the bbc and got lost in the process :( BRING BACK LTEC

Yes - as much as I would have liked to see more, the brick coming through the window at the end suggested the Revolution had started and that was that... Though, the three main characters could have escaped the mob and it might have been interesting to see what happened to them next... However, as I've said elsewhere, "LTEC" was more or less the last time the BBC made a genuinely original or creative sitcom.
