S hit show though. A 10th rate Blackadder ripoff, just like Girls On Top ripped off the Young Ones. Very Poor.

aw no i think it was brilliant- doesnt matter if it ripps off another show if it works.

its not like the people from girls on top/ young ones were enemies or anything ;)

There are so many great lines and scenes --

Madame de Plonge picking the cookie bits from between her breasts,

Jennifer's "Any other news? Are the tulips out?" after being told her husband is dying,

"It's scenes like this, monsieur, that have forced women throughout this country to invent crochet!" after the Countess de Vache sees Bouffant gaily(!) leaving the dwelling of a hunky man,

the C. de V. screaming from the dungeon "What are they going to do? (in reference to the many secrets she knows about others)" and in the next scene she's again shackled to the wall but with a full bronze face mask to shut her up (and when Lisette first enters le comptess whines "These iron shackles, with my skin tone!"

the earlier scene when the three enter the Countess de FooFoo's apartment to find the "14-ish" dismembered body parts -- "Classic suicide scenario!" "Dare I say it, pug nosed!" (as she pokes the decapitated head with her cane)

Bouffant's scene with the Court Physician "Oh, do stop whinging!" ... "A ship that, with the right crew, could have rammed Portsmouth!"... "Big, monsieur, big!" (and the 4 leeches for stress reduction...ugh)

I can't believe this series hasn't been released on Region 1 DVDs!
