On TV In America?

hey i read a comment on this that mentioned something about Second Sight showing in the US (something about adding subtitles). Is it really on TV here and if so, what channel is it on? I would love to see this in any way possible and it would be great news if it is indeed showing in the US! so if anyone can confirm this and give me more info, that would be great. and also-- is the show purchaseable on VHS or DVD at all?

Horseluvchick,

You're in luck. In two weeks, BBC America will be airing every episode of "Second Sight." Check your local listings.

If you don't have BBC America, you can purchase the series on DVD. I've just finished watching "Kingdom of the Blind" (courtesy of Netflix).

Hope this helps.

Scond Sight debuts on BBC America on May 9th at 9 p.m. and continuing on Mondays at 9 for five weeks.

it was also shown a number of years ago, shortly after it originally aired in Britain, on Public Television here in the states. I enjoyed the hell out of it and fully intend to watch it again on BBCA. Woohoo.

Please note, that they do edit portions of the show out on BBC America. They aired them fully on Mystery! on PBS, but BBC America is well known for taking out about 5-7 minutes per episode of the show for time constraints and not telling you. It took me years to see all of "Cracker" because BBC America took out portions of the show they didn't think mattered, but actually did.

It's a pity they edit it, though the show seems to make sense to this first time viewer. There's nudity and all, are they just trying to fit more commercials in? Do you remember what they edited out of Second Sight? Unless it's a spoiler, I'd be interested to know.

Wouldn't swear to purchasable, but I rented it from Netflix.
