Monk?

I have watched this movie and I can't seen to figure out what he is. I know he started as a porn star, but then it's hinted that he's a movie star. Yet, he gives talks about things that most actors would not really think about. Not to mention he dresses up in suits. Each time you see him he gets dresser and dresser. SO, what is he?
