Show some more remorse!

I know they had that whole part of the movie when Buddy becomes an alcoholic and is losing it.. but when he starts the relationship with Abbey.. you can't help but hate him for keeping that secret for her. They should have shown him going through more torment hiding this secret when starting a relationship with her.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I kind of didn't want the two of them to end up together in the end. But you know they had to.

I saw it last night and after it ended, I said to my wife, "Maybe someday someone will have the guts to make a flick like this with a sad ending." In real life, that's the way it usually turns out.

Yes, starting a relationship from such deceit was a big turn off and the stupid dog scene... well maybe the dog knew what was up. Just another reason why I don't venture around anyone's big dog, no matter how much the they "natter" on about how it would/ could never bite or never/ ever attack...

Overall I found the film to be plastic and one dimensional.

He tried to end it twice before the relationship really began, even though he was obviously attracted to her. Not enough guilt for you?

I don't think he wanted to start a relationship with her, he tried to end it a couple of times before it got too series, but he couldn't. I don't think he wanted to hurt her feelings.

Honestly what was so bad that he should show remorse. He gave his ticket away so that guy could get back to his wife, it's not his fault the plane crashed.

He drank heavily for a year trying to deal with what happened. I think he just wanted to help her out with getting a comishin on a building his company was going to buy anyway. She asked him out on a date, like I said, I don't think he wanted to hurt her feelings and got caught up in the situation.
