What's with the title?

I've been thinking about it,and no matter what,I can't understand why its titled "Bounce". It's probably simple, but its 1:35 in the morning and my brain is starting to go dark,so can someone please help me out? Thanks.

In the film Paltrow wistfully recounts how her good friend tells her to "bounce" back from the abrupt death of her husband.

*duh* Thanks :)

reply

No, the character was "bounced"off the flight

reply

No, it was about her ability to bounce back. She talks about it in one scene. Her mother tells her that it was just a plane crash, she needs to bounce.

One thing vampire children have to learn early on is don't run with a wooden stake

reply

She also goes on to say something about the thing about bouncing is that you hit over and over again.

reply

It's both. Buddy bounces himself off the flight to be with the very loverly Mimi, and Abby's mother tells her to bounce -- meaning bounce back.

A much better title is "Load".

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

reply

A much better title is "Load".

Or "Load of Crap," if you want a longer title.

This sentence is false. -- The Zurich Gnome

With all due respect, you get 'bumped' off a flight, not 'bounced'... With over a million air miles in my life, I've never heard anyone being 'bounced' from a flight.

reply

I thought the movie was called Bounce because the plane didn't bounce off of the ground when it crashed.

"Hey guys! Whoa, Big Gulps huh? All right! Well, see ya later!" Dumb & Dumber

reply

There was no 'bouncing' off any flight!!

reply

Better name would've been Flop since that's exactly what happened to this movie in the box office.
