Live action movie getting dvd release

This isn't the cartoon series, but I thought I'd post the information here. From Dvdanswers.com...

"MGM Home Entertainment has announced the release of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie for the 12th of July. The disc will feature an anamorphic widescreen (1.85:1) transfer, Dolby Digital Mono audio, and a theatrical trailer. You can expect the disc to retail for around $14.95 when it hits stores, and we hope to be able to bring you the high resolution artwork shortly."

That is awesome! Now I don't have to spend an arm and a leg for a crappy vhs copy from ebay or something!

I'm in the same boat as you. I had been considering buying one of those bootleg dvds on ebay. I didn't think this would ever be released on dvd and then suddenly one day I find the release info on dvdanswers.com.

Now if we could only get some info on the elusive animated series.
