Veronica Roberts

At the end of the original "Universal Soldier" I was given the impression that Luc and Veronica would be involved in a romantic relationship. I was just wondering if this type of relationship was present throughout both the sequels and if she dies at the end of "U.S. 3". That would explain her absence in "U.S. The Return".

However, it does not go half way of explaining why you care...

;-)

This movie just aired on Swedish TV, I don't know what we did to Hollywood to ever deserve that. I mean, it's us! The Swedes! We don't do anything to anyone!

Greets!

Universal Soldier: The Return, to the best of my knowledge has nothing to do with this, as the two TV made sequels were "unofficial" sequels and there is no continuity in storyline between them and Universal Soldier: The Return which was the official sequel, starring Van Damme. Personally, I think the two unnoficial sequels totally suck and no matter how big a fan you are of the original, avoid them like the plague. The official sequel "The Return", was critically blasted but at the very least, it's an oscar winner compared to the TV made sequels. The first TV sequel, "Brothers In Arms" is something I'd rate as one of the worst movies of all time, really.

Doesn't really matter. Yes "The Return" ignores parts II and III but if you really care, you can say they all take place in the same timeline. He hung out with Veronica in II and III and then she died between III and Return. I'm not sure they really were shown getting it on but who's to say they didn't get it on and have a kid?

In the "Universal Soldier: The Return", Luc (VanDamme) told the annoyng woman reporter that his wife died several years ago (car wreck, or so). So Veronica was dead before the events in "Return" (otherwise Luc -being a nice, former UNISOL, guy -couldn't end up togheter with the reporter, no?)

...oh, and they have a girl (and of course Luc tries to save her half the movie)...

They never did explain how Luc was able to have a child. Wouldn't he have no sperm since technially he's "undead".
